IAS exam is conducted by UPSC through Civil Service Exam so if you want to go for IAS exam , you can attend to CSAT exam. Those candidate are graduate from any recognized university with any discipline are eligible for IAS exam.IAS exam not require any kind of percentage marks in career. But your age should be in between 22 to 30 years old.Age relaxation is provide for SC/ST/OBC category as per govt rule. The maximum attempts for SC/ST candidate is Unlimited. For OBC candidate it is 7 years and for general candidate it will be 5 years. Also you must be in citizen in India. The IAS selection process is consist in three way 1)Preliminary exam 2)Main exam 3)Inter View. If you want enter in Mains exam , you must cleared the preliminary exam first. For CSAT exam you can choose your mains and optional subject . SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR CANDIDATES Special instructions to Candidates for Conventional type of papers Articles permitted inside Examination Hall Battery-operated pocket calculators of “non-programmable” type only, mathematical/engineering/drawing instruments, including a flat rule divided on the edges into inches and tens of an inch and into centimeters and millimeters, a slide rule, set squares, a protractor and a pair of compasses, pencils, coloured pencils, mapping pens, eraser, T-square and drawing board for use wherever necessary. Candidates are not allowed to bring with them any “Tables or Charts” for use in the Examination Hall. Mobile phones, pagers or any other communication devices are not allowed inside the premises where the examination is being conducted. Any infringement of these instructions shall entail disciplinary action including ban from future examinations. Candidates are advised in their own interest not to bring any of the banned item including mobile phones/pagers to the venue of the examination, as arrangement for safekeeping can not be assured. IAS stands for INDIAN ADMINISTRATION SERVICE. The exam is conducted by the UPSC twice in a year. ELIGIBLITY FOR IAS 1.The candidate should have atleast graduation degree. 2.the minimum percentage should be 55% in the degree. 3.age should be in between 21-30 year.
