Since you are residing in Mangalore, I suggest you even apply for KCET.
There are several branches in engineering, and in today's world there is no branch that a girl cannot take up. It all depends on what you want to be in future, and whether or not you are ready to deal with it and stay in the same stream till you retire.
These are a bunch of general courses:
Electronics and Communication Engineering
Electrical and Electronics Engineering
Telecommunication Engineering
Computer Science Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Information Science Engineering
Civil Engineering
Biotechnology Engineering
Metallurgy and Material Science Engineering
And a lot more.
There is even Architectural Engineering for which you will have to take up a different entrance exam.
So choose wisely, and choose only that you will want to do for a really long time.

All the best!

Hi

AIEEE is the All India Engineering Entrance Examination. This is basically conducted by the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) every year for the selection of students for the various Engineering courses in various colleges and technical universities all across the country.

There are many Engineering courses and streams which have different specializations. Some of the top Engineering courses in India are :

ECE
CSE
ME
CE
IT
EEE
AE
etc..

Now out of these, the Electrical, Mechanical and Civil involve heavy and tiring field work. This is one of the main reasons girls tend to avoid these courses.
Its not that girls are not suitable or not eligible for such courses, but yes they avoid these due to the ease of practical work related to the course.

If you are a girl, I would suggest streams like CSE - Computer Science Engineering, IT- Information Technology and ECE - Electronics and Communication Engineering.

So you can easily go for these courses.

Hope this helps

All the best

Regards
RANJEET

You can select all the streams available (except mining engineering).

No problem with that. The demand for the core subjects will always remain constant. They are the evergreen subjects.

While during recession time IT or CSE gets a beating. But as of now there demand is also quite high.

But statistics is saying that currently the craze for ECE is sky high. Almost every student wants to go for it.

Thus the choice is yours. If you are interested in a subject and want to make a living out of it then no matter what the demand and supply of a course is, you will come out with flying colors.

Good luck

There are a lot of engineering courses nowadays..
Some of them are

-Mechanical
-Computer Science
-Info Science
-Civil
-Electronics & Communication
-Electrical
-Information Tech
-Biotechnology
etc...

If you are a girl try to avoid mechanical, civil and electrical unless you
are interested in those branches because they involve lot of field
work..

Whatever you do, do not choose a branch which you are not interested in..
Choose a field which you are interested and then you will find engineering easier than 12th..

In my opinion the most suitable engineering courses apart from the above recommended courses for girls are architectural engineering in interior designing, Landscaping
fashion designing, fine arts and web designing.

Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
