The exam is consists of two papers, i.e.,

1. Professional subject consists of 80 objective type questions.

2. General awareness and reasoning consists of 20 objective type questions.

Syllabus of General awareness and reasoning:

Knowledge of current events,
Sports,
History,
Geography,
Culture,
Indian constitutions,
News about technology and researches and News on India and its neighboring countries.

Verbal reasoning:
Analogy, Coding & decoding, Blood relations, Sitting arrangements, Series completion, syllogisms, Decision making, Statement reasoning

Non verbal reasoning:
Analogy, Series completion, Classification

CSEB JE (Junior Engineer) 2015 Exam Syllabus for Electrical and Electronics:

Examination Pattern:
Total number of questions - 100 Q
Type of Questions: Objective Type
Professional Subject / Core Subjects - 80 Questions
GK (General Awareness) + Reasoning - 20 Questions

Electrical and Electronics Concepts:
Analog Circuits, Network Theory, A C Machine, Digital Electronics, Power Electronics, Control System, Electrical Basics, DC Machine. Since this section consists of 4/5th of marks, try to concentrate and get good command over the basic concepts to secure good marks out of 100 Marks.

General Awareness Concepts:
Current Affairs, Constitution, Polity, History, Banking Awareness, Geography, Culture, Economics, Science, Sports

Reasoning Concepts:
Blood Relation, Analogy, Coding and Decoding, Verbal Reasoning and Non Verbal Reasoning, Water Images, Classification, Mirror Images, Statement and Conclusion, Seating Arrangement, Series, Decision Making, Finding missing figures.
