and it depends upon the number of students and the the marks obtained by the average students,

Hey guys, I don't know about cusat, but 50% marks in any entrance exams will fetch u a sure seat...in case of Kerala engineering entrance exam, a 50% (480 out of 960) will get rank 600-700. Plus, The first 1000 ranks are less likely to join cusat.....so the first 5000 ranks must get a seat. But as somebody said, the cut off varies every year.

Hey ppl, Usually what these institutions do is that they start with a cutoff of 10-15 %. then if the required number of candidates are in excess, the cutoff marks is raised. this continues till the get their desired no. of candidates. thus the cutoff depends such like every year. now it depends that whether u are answering with a batch of extremely good students that year or not. :)
but don't worry, basically if you have a 8000-10000 rank you are surely to get in. but government college cant be said in dat. :)

hi frnd,i m a career councellor from kota(raj.)
before years,cusat exams was held after iitjee,and aieee.thats why the student who got gd marks in iitjee and aieee,they was nt gving d exam of cusat,and then rank goes down.
Bt ds year,its helds before iitjee and aieee,so many students who will get gd marks in both exams will vacant d cusat seat and dts y cutoff goes up rapidly.
I think about 7000-8000 seat will be vacant dts will be d top ranks.
If u hv rank more than it,dont worry.pls appear in counselling.best of luck 4 u all.

ds year cusat held before aieee and iitjee except privious years.ds year most of top rankers will take adm in iit or aieee and they will väcant d top seats of cusat dt will be around 7000,so if u hv rank more than it dont worry,appear in counselling,best of luck 2 u all,

Last year cut off of CUSAT was rank 2000 and admissions were colsed at rank 2000
so you can try your best in the counselling sessions
you can easily get admission in a good stream
