i am ranked 17772 in wbjee entrance examination. will i get a chance in any of the government college in kolkata? wat is the cutoff for getting admission in a government college by passing wbjee?.......

hello friend, as you get 17772 rank in WBJEE & want to take admission in government college with ECE department.
but i want to let you inform that, as per previous year counselling result the government college was filled within 4500 rank.
but kindly you attend your counselling which will started from 2nd of july.
& for government college, you can try 2nd counselling also.

Look dear ,i don't think that you would be able to get into good government college, but still you try your best and hold patience and lets hope for the best.But for an instance please attend the counselling and lets see what happens.But there is another way to get into the top private colleges direcly with our marks or through management quota.Here i'm giving some best private engineering colleges of west bengal:

sorry brother, but your rank is too far for a government college.
if you have any quota like sc, obc etc then it might have been possible but otherwise you should do the counselling and see.

I have got 3000 state ranking in aieee2010, and all india ranking as 80000. Please tell me how i should go about to get an admission in good colleges in west bengal through this state ranking. wht are the counselling procedures for state ranking. is it different from all india rankingcouncelling. i am worried as i want to take admission in chemical engg. or electrical engg or lastly biotech. but from a good govt . or private college which has a bright prospect. can u suggest me some thing on this, moreover i want to take admission in haldia engg.college . will it be possible . please give a good and nice advice

I am sorry to say that you will not get any government college in westbengal.There are only & or 8 government colleges in the westbengal which include Jadavpur and Shibpur and these two also ranked top among others.

As you have mentioned that your rank is 17772 ,so i can assure you that will get surely get some private college.

no in first counseling you will not be able to take admission in government college with this much rank.

almost till 5000 rank in WBJEE get chance to take admission in good government college. but you may try to take admission in government college in 2nd, 3rd or 4th counseling. may be you will get chance.

but with this rank you may take admission in very good private institution. you may try for this although expense of study b.tech in private institution is very high. hope for the best.
