waiting since ages for the result of ntse exam that was held on 21st November.

What is holding the State examination board to to announce the NTSE-2011 results. If the results are announced early, the selected students can prepare well for the second stage.

The results of Stage 1 NTSE exam was announced by the end of December 2010. NCERT will send the admit cards for Stage 2 exam to only selected candidates by first week of April 2011D

the karnataka ntse results 2011 will be announced between march 5 uptill march 8. you can check it on dsert.kar.nic.in

I checked with NTSE section of Dept of School education at College road, Chennai. As per them, the results should come this week, any time after Thursday ( 10/03/2011).

last year there was a common merit list for all candidates other than SC/ST. This year they have followed tamilnadu reservation partially.

there is no reservation for MBC, in National Level Exam. And is is good to follow what is done last year.

sending candidates with lower marks following reservation to MBCs to compete in a National Level Exam where there is no Reservation for MBCs is like sending our special Olympic team to general Olympic . This should have been done by some myopic

there is no reservations for MBCs in National Level NTSE,

and so till last year there was a common merit list for candidates other than SC/ST and a Merit list for SC/ST

But this year reservation for MBC is followed in State level and the cut of mark for MBC candidate is less than SC/ST candidates.

This is like sending our special Olympics team to the Olympics.

The chance of more than 50 meritorious candidates from Tamilnadu quota is blocked by MBC candidates. The decision is myopic, there may be some public interest litigation or a few mandamus writ.

Can someone think of any justifying reason for the delay in declaring NTSE Stage 1 results. Corruption/mal practices are ruining our country. Education system is no exception.
