Date of UGC NET Exam

The National Eligibility Test is conducted by the University Grants Commission every year in the month of June and December..

The exam is conducted for lectureship as well as for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF)..

For appearing in the exam a candidate must satisfy the following minimum eligibility criterion :-

>> The candidate must have at least completed his post graduation with an aggregate of 55% without rounding off (50% for the reserved candidates)

>> Candidates appearing for the JRF or the Junior Research Fellowship must be less than 28 years of age and should be greater than 17 years (no upper age limit for lectureship)

As of now..the exact date for the exam is not out but tentatively the exam will be held somewhere around 26th June,2012..

UGC Test For Junior Research Fellowship and Eligibility for Lectureship

the national eligibility test is condect by the university greants comission every year in the month of june and september

The UGC-NET will be conducted in objective mode from June 2012 onwards. The Test will consist of three papers. All the three papers will consist of only objective type questions and will be held on the day of Examination in two separate sessions as under:


Session Paper Number of Questions Marks Duration
First I 60 out of which 50 questions are to be attempted 50x2 = 100 1¼ Hours (09.30 a.m. to 10.45 a.m.)
First II 50 questions all of which are compulsory 50x2 = 100 1¼ Hours (10.45 a.m. to 12.00 Noon.)
Second III 75 questions all of which are compulsory 75x2 = 150 2½ Hours (01.30 p.m.

NET exam pattern :

paper I - objective type - general knowledge , current affairs , reasoning ability & quantitative (50 questions) - 100 marks
paper II - objective type - core subject (50questions) - 100 marks
paper III - descriptive type - core subject will have four sections
section I - 25 marks
section II - 75 marks
Section III- 60marks
section IV - 40 marks

grand total : 400marks

Qualification :
complete post graduation in the desired subject with 55% of a recognized university

As you are M.C.A. student so I think it is just beginning of your life.After M.C.A. you can do a lot of thing :

1. Go for higher studies,
2. Find a job.

1. Go for higher studies ::

After M.C.A. you can go for higher studies like :

* MBA, I think after MCA you can attempt for MBA which have a bright
future,
* M.Tech, if you crack GATE examination then you will be eligible for M.Tech
and also if you want to be a lecturer or a professor then only choose this,
* M.Phil., after M.Tech you can easily go for it.
* Ph.D. this you can pursue if you wish.
* C.S.
* C.A.
* Short term course like :

i. Core Java,
ii. Advanced Java,
iii. J2EE,
iv. ASP .NET using VB,
v. ASP .NET using C#,
vi. ASP .NET using J#,
vii.C/C++,
viii.SQL,
ix. image processing,


2. Find a job :

After M.C.A. you can also find a job in some top companies like :

* T.C.S.
* Wipro
* C.T.S.
* Infosys
* Accenture
* Tech Mahindra
* I.B.M. etc.

But I think these kind of jobs will not satisfy you. So my suggestion to you please go for higher studies and choose your carrier best. Here which way you want to prefer go for this and you will be succeed.

Dear freind,now the world has changed,now there is no good & settled jobs just after 12th.now the world is full of comptition in every field.i will suggest you that must go for higher studies,if you are worrying about financial problems,so no need to be in tense,there are many colleges who offer scholarship & education loans.after 12th you can get only part time jobs as in call center,customer care executive,data entry,home delivery of pizza.

NET-NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY TEST conducted by UGC twice every year on e in the month of June and other in the month of December for selection of Lectureship and award of JRF(Junior Research Fellowship).

The candidate having Post Graduation Degree in any stream with 55% marks, is eligible to apply for NET above the age of 19 years. There is no upper age bar for those applying for Lectureship but those applying for JRF should be within 28 years to apply for NET.

The examination for NET June 2012 will be held on 26.06.2012.
