Just like NET, SLET is also given by candidates interested in Junior Research Fellowship or lectureship. SLET's full form is State Level Eligibility Test and this exam is conducted by the universities of different states.

Currently State Level Eligibility Test is conducted in the following states:

• Maharashtra
• Gujarat
• Andhra Pradesh
• Madhya Pradesh
• Rajasthan
• Uttar Pradesh
• Jammu & Kashmir
• Andhra Pradesh
• Tamil Nadu
• Goa and
• West Bengal

Eligibility Criteria:- If you wish to give this examination then you need to do your post graduation and masters first. Along with that it is also important to secure 55% of marks at post graduation level. There is however 5% relaxation for the reserved category candidates.

Age Criteria:-

For Junior Research Fellowship: Your age should be more than 28 years as that is the lower age limit.

For Lectureship: There is no upper age limit for applying.

Exam Pattern:-

Paper I:

Total Questions: 60
Total Marks: 100 (50 *2)
Total Time: 1.15 hours

Paper II:

Total Questions: 50
Total Marks: 100 (50 * 2)
Total Time Allotted: 1.15 hours

Paper III:

Total Questions: 50
Total Marks: 100 (50 * 2)
Total Time Allotted: 1.15 hours
