Which are the different career options available after B.Sc (Physics)?


I am pursuing my undergraduate course in Physics now. And, I have no intention to study M.Sc. So, let me know the career options after completion of B.Sc in Physics?

After completion of your graduation in physics, you can proceed with one of the three options:

1. Higher Studies
2. Apply for jobs
3. Enterprenureship

Higher Studies
You can go for further studies in different streams of physics such as RadioPhysics, Astronomy, AstroPhysics,BioPhysics, Medical Physics, Neutral Physics, Optical Physics, Acoustics Physics and many more.
After completeting your post graduation, you can do PhD or you can do Integrated PhD.
Being PhD holder, you will be eligible for
  • Assistant Professor
  • Scientist/Researcher
  • Scientific Officer
  • PDF

OR you can do
  • B. Ed. for teacher post
  • MBA
  • PostGraduate Diploma

You can pursue further studies with correspondence/distance education offered by IGNOU.

Job
After B. Sc. in Physics, you will be elgible to apply for the following job examination:
  • Lab Assistant
  • Banking (IBPS, SBI- PO/Clerk(Junior Associate), etc)
  • Railways (JE, ASM etc)
  • ISRO as Technical Assistant
  • TCS
  • Civil Services (UPSC etc)
  • PSUs
  • SSC CGL
  • Armed Forces(Coast Guard etc)

Enterpreneurship
Even you can start your own enterprenurship as ther are some schemes are availbled by Goverment authorities. You can take a risk and can innovate a new way to start your new journey where you will be capable to offer job for other and help them to survive. It may takes a long time or may grow slowly with the time but with hard work, dedication, positive affirmation and firm determination , you can get succeed in your career.
