CA stands for Chartered Accountant. Institute of Cost Accountants of India offers CA course. There are three stages in Chartered Accountancy course. - Foundation course - intermediate goods final course - final course According to Central Council, a graduate student can directly join the IPCC course without writing CA CPT exam. Re: Is it difficult to do CA after open studies?
CA stands for Chartered Accountancy course.
This course has three levels and the first stage is common proficiency test, 2nd stage is integrated professional competence course and the last age is final course. Graduates are directly eligible for IPCC stage but they must have at least 55% marks in Bachelors Degree. Your Institute must be approved by distance education council as you have done bachelor's degree in distance mode. So, if you meet necessary percentage criteria for Direct Entry to IPCC, you can go for it. |

Re: Is it difficult to do CA after open studies?
-> CA :- it is labelled as once of the toughest course .
-> So , the people whoever wants to do C.A must be consistent with studies . -> If you are focussed and determined about C.A it doesn't seems difficult . So better decide and think twice before coming to the conclusion. |

If she has completed her study from a recognized board or university then she is eligible for Chartered accountant course. Open studies is recognized by the government of India so there should not be any problem. Thanks

Re: Is it difficult to do CA after open studies?
No, its not difficult to pursue Chartered Accountancy course after open studies. Your institute must be recognized from which you have done your open studies. Candidates who have done bachelor's degree in commerce or in any other stream can directly apply for second stage of this course called Integrated Professional Competence course.
To directly apply for this stage, commerce stream candidate need to have at least 55% marks in bachelor's degree and non commerce stream should have at least 60%. If you do not meet this criteria then you will have to apply for Common Proficiency Test which is first stage of Chartered Accountancy course. Institute of Chartered Accountants of India conducts CPT examination twice every year in June and December. For more details, visit http://www.icai.org. |
