After completing diploma mechanical can I join nda? If not then tell me special entry schemes for diploma holders like me in technical or non technical departments.

Yes, Diploma mechanical Engineer can join NDA.

Your Diploma is equivalent to intermediate qualification so you are eligible to appear in NDA examination to join NDA.

If you could complete graduation course than you will be have some more opportunities which are as follows.

1. CDS
2. AFCAT
3. INET
4. SSC Tech

Your age should be less than 25 years to appear in these 4 examination to join Defense services.

To join Indian air Force/Indian army or Indian navy, you need to be at least a graduate in any field. So having diploma will not going to allow you to apply for the exam.

Diploma students are not eligible for NDA entrance exam. only 12th standard or equivalent qualification candidates are only eligible for NDA entrance exam.

This examination is conducted by UPSC twice in a year. This entrance exam is for army / navy and Airforce wing.

Minimum educational qualification required for applying this exam is a 12th passed or equivalent qualification from recognised University.

If you have passed 12th board exam with PCM then you can sit for NDA exams conducted by UPSC twice every year.

Also your minimum age should be 16 years 6 months and maximum 19 years.
