i want to join indian defence services after b.tech in mechanical engineering

yes you can join indian defence services by giving cds exam best of luck.

you can join defense services after B.Tech in ME.
To join the Indian Defense Service you have to appear in CDS or combined defense services exam.
By cracking these exam you can join the IMA (Indian Military Academy), Naval Academy and Air force Academy.
The notifications are published in national dailys or employment news magazine.
So keep your eyes on that.

You can enter Indian Defence Services after doing your B.tech in mechanical engineering. You should not be married and the age limit is 19 to 25 years.In Indian air force the age limit is 18 to 28 years.For joining the Indian defence services there would be entrance exam followed by interview and physical test.Your eyesight should be 6/6.Merchant navy also offers good opportunities. You would be initially appointed as deck cadet.

write CDS exam.
if you select in that you can go to interview.
after that physical test is there.

The eligiblity required to write the CDS exam are as follows.

IMA- Degree of a recognised university
The minimum eligible age is 19 years whereas the maximum age limit is 24

Naval Academy- B.Sc with Physics and Mathematics or Bachelor of Engineering.
The minimum eligible age is 19 years and the maximum age limit is 22 years.

Air Force Academy- Degree of a recognised university with Physics and Mathematics at +2 level or Bachelor of Engineering.
The eligible age limit is 19-23 years.

you can get chance in Indian defence in two ways

1.through UES. which exam you can appear in the final year of your btech.

2.through UPSC exam. this exam you can appear after your graduation course.

I want to join indian defence services (IDSE) in MES as a AEE (E & M) b.tech in electrical engineering from JRN rajsthan vidhyapeeth university by distance education and also have diploma in electrical & Mechanical Engineering from College of Military Engineering ( Pune ). Now I am serving in MES as a JE (E&M) Rank Nb Sub (military cader) and service is running 22 years, age is 40 years.
please give me valuable suggetion, how to apply,what certificats riquired,i.e. Ex-serviceman or NOC from dipartment etc and important dates of examination.

NDA II is the exam which is held for the entry of the graduates. So the eligibility for this is that you must be a graduate and your age should be less than 25 years in the year of applying.

You should have complete your graduation from a recognized college, and should have scored a minimum 60% in it.

Also you should be physically fit, and meet their standards whatever being put up by them.

Maths is compulsory to have studied, if you applying for the Air Force and Naval wings.

After completion of B.tech in mechanical engineering you can apply for CSD exam to get into defense service..

Eligibility for CDS exam:-

1.Indian military academy:-

Candidate has to complete the graduation in any trade.

Age should be in between 19-24 years.

Candidate must be unmarried male.

2.Navy academy:-

Candidate has to complete the graduation in engineering field.

Age should be in between 19-22 years.

Candidate must be unmarried male.

3.Air force academy:-

Candidate has to complete the graduation in any trade with having maths and physics in 12th class.

Age should be in between 19-23 years.

Candidate must be unmarried male.

These are the eligibility criteria you have to fulfill.
