I m an OBC quota candidate, and my certificate is issued on 3rd oct 2009. I wish to apply for the PO vacancy of Punjab and sind bank. So there they have mentioned "OBC CERTIFICATE SHOULD NOT BE MORE THAN ONE YEAR OLD AS ON THE DATE OF APPLICATION".

So i need to re-new my obc certificate. I want to know what all documents r required for this re-new purpose?

I m a domicile from UP and obc certificate is also from UP.

Hello......You are right.This is a very false rule.OBC certificate has to be renewed every 6 months and the candidate has to be present at the time of renewal with the old OBC certificate.
Even i got fed up with this and decided to give exams in general category.Every time the officials eat a lot of money to get it renewed especially in Bihar and UP.
But if your job is dependent on OBC certificate then it is better to get it renewed.

Yes shipra it is needed that you should renew your obc certificate. It should not be old than 1 one year from the date of application. For renewal you should go to a stamp wender in your district or tehsil court along with your old obc certificate. He should give you all the documents needed and after that you should go to your concern tehsil office. The tehsildar should issue your renewed obc certificate.

Hello sir! My OBC certificate is 1 year 2 months old i.e dated 20th december 2010. Do I have to renew it now to appear in the bank interview as the banks asks for "NOT MORE THAN ONE YEAR OLD"? KINDLY REPLY ME SOON.

I am Vineet Kumar and i apply for the post of assistant grade IIIrd in FCI. and i need age relaxation for this job but i am from up and jat comes in obc in U.P but in central govt it comes in General categary is i am eligible for this post. Some people says it is central govt PSU and some says that because vacancy in uttar pradesh so you can apply for it. But even today i am not understand this process. I am belongs to Koshti Caste. The Koshti caste come under Special Backward Class in Maharashtra
and in central come under OBC. I got two certificate 1) SBC for State and 2) OBC for Central for the purpose
of Education.
I have came to know that The concerned office (Social & Justice ) of Maharashtra govt is ready to
verify SBC certificate for validity but not ready for OBC because I have certificate of obc for central. The question is that
where to apply for getting validity of OBC.

I belongs to Bihar but I live in Delhi since my childhood(15years) .My obc certificate was isssued in bihar 3 year ago can I renew my obc certificate from delhi.

The category certificates will have to renewed after every 5 years. These certificates are valid for only 5 years. So after every 5 years you have to be renew your caster certificate to take its benefit.
To renew your caste certificate you should have these documents:
Ration Card
Aadhar Card
1 photo

If you are applying for bank P.O examination then certainly you have to renew your O.B.C certificate since they clearly stated in their guidelines.
For renewing O.B.C certificate you have to keep it with yourself the following documents
1. Class 10th marksheet photocopy
2.your old obc certificate that has now expired
3.Your recent photo
4.Adhaar Card.

Dear Aspirant,

These are following documents you require for Renewing your OBC certificate:

Application Form.
AADHAR CARD.
PAN CARD, PASSPORT, Driving license, Voter Card (any two)
Residential Proof like electricity bill, voter card, water bill etc.
A copy of old OBC Certificate.

in case you are applying for new certificate then a copy of OBC Certificate of Father, brother, sister or any from paternal side is required.

Hello sir , I have document verification for rrb ntpc where it is clearly mentioned in the notification that obc should not be older than 1 year but when I went to sdm office for the same they said that there is no concept for renewal of obc certificate it is the same for life time they told me to apply for a new non creamy layer certificate only ..please let me know if it is ok to give old obc certificate and new ncl at the time of document verification

We first lives in rajouri garden but after 2,3years of my birth we started to live in najafgarh.
