Sir/Madam, I am having an IGNOU's M.Phil degree so do I need to sit for an entrance exam to pursue PhD? Further, PhD from IGNOU is good or shall I choose any other university?

You are exempted from entrance exam for Ph.D admission to IGNOU as you have M.Phil degree. IGNOU is also a good university to pursue Ph.D course.

- You must have passed Master's degree in relevant discipline with at least 55% aggregate marks from a recognized university.
- Admission will be based on entrance exam conducted by university. M.Phil holders and NET qualified candidates are exempted from entrance exam.
