Educational requirement to become an Astronaut?

I am preparing for IIT JEE, 2020 exam session. I want to become an Astronaut. What subjects should I go for and what other qualifications are needed? What is the procedure to complete education and other qualifications for Astronomy? Will IIT help me achieving it?

Yes, IITs will truly help you out for becoming Astronaut in the near future.

Firstly, in 11th and 12th you need to opt for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as your primary subjects.

Then, only you would be able to apply for engineering entrance exams like JEE Main (earlier AIEEE) and JEE Advanced (earlier IIT-JEE).

If you qualify JEE Advanced exam with good AIR, then you can get admission to Astronomy course in your preferred IIT during counseling.

After pursuing graduation course in Astronomy, you can join space labs like ISRO, HAL, etc. in India.

After gaining few years of experience, you can be appointed as Astronaut there.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
