Hello Sir, I have completed my M.Sc in General Chemistry, but I have not qualified any exams like NET/GATE. Can I be able to apply for PhD? Further, which subject or specialization should I opt for my PhD? And, which are the national institutes of national universities offering PhD in Chemistry courses? Admission procedure?

yes, you can apply for Phd. you are eligible for it.

As you are MSc in chemistry i would suggest you to do phd in chemistry only. it would be good to you for performing well and cracking the entrance examination which will come in front of you in future.

i would list you some universities which are reputed and which do not require GATE score card for getting admission to phd:-
1) JNU (Jawaharlal nehru university)
2) Sikkim Manipal university
3) GTU (Gujarat technical university)
4) BITS Pilani
5) AIIMS

You have to apply for phd courses via these universities/institutes official website.
After that you have to crack their entrance examination with a good rank and seek admission
