Hello Sir/Ma'am, am I eligible for Junior Engineer post in Indian Railways if I have completed my B.Tech from Plastics Technology? Please help me regarding my question. If yes, then in which department and at which post apart from Junior Engineer role?

JE or Junior Engineer post in Indian Railways is filled through RRB exam.

To apply for RRB JE exam, engineering graduates of following streams can apply:

• Civil Engineering
• Mechanical
• Production
• Automobile
• Electrical
• Tools & Machining
• Tools & Die Making
• Computer Science
• Computer Engineering
• Electronics
• Instrumentation & Control Engineering
• Control

Note that Plastic engineering graduates cannot apply for JE post.

However, Plastic engineering graduates can apply for RRB DMS (Depot Material Superintendent) post.
