Eligibility to appear in 10th CBSE Board exam for a 15 years old student?
Dear friends, my son is 10 years old and he is currently studying in 6th standard. He will be 15 years old when he will appear the Board exam from CBSE Board for 10th standard. So, at that age he will be eligible to Board exam?

The age criteria for CBSE Class 10th board examination suggests that the candidate's minimum age should be at least 14 years by the 1st October of that year in which the candidate seeked admission in his/her Class 10th.

Yes, you are eligible to appear in 10th standard CBSE Board examination being a 15 years old candidate. To be eligible to apply for 10th standard CBSE Board examination, you should have passed 9th standard from a Government recognised board and you should have attained the age of minimum 15 years. So, being a 15 years old candidate, you are eligible to appear in 10th standard CBSE Board examinations.

CBSE refers to Central Board of Secondary Education and it is one of the three national board of education offering education upto Class 12th with its affiliated school all around the India.
As far as you are concerned about the minimum age required for appearing in the CBSE Class 10th board examination, then it is 14 years by the 1st October of that year in which student has got admission to his/her Class 10th. So, being a student of Class 6th and 10 years old, your son will have no issues regarding his age when appearing for his Class 10th board examination four year later. |
