Is Business Studies in ISC applicable instead of Mathematics/Business mathematics for B.com(hons) in Calcutta University

these are the eligiblity creteria of b.com hons. of calcutta university-

Honours in Accounting & Finance-

for General candidates- 55% in aggregate + 60% in Accountancy / Mathematics or in any related subject (see below). + Minimum 30% marks in Mathematics at the Secondary (Class X) level.

for SC/ST- 40% in aggregate OR 40% in Accountancy / Mathematics or in any related subject (see below).

2. Honours in Marketing-

for General- 50% in aggregate + 55% in Accountancy or Mathematics
for SC/ST- 40% in Accountancy or in any related subject.

Ya definitely !

You hav to score at least 60% in your class 12 for getting into Calcutta University, you can also find admission with less percentage in any college affiliated to CU.

Documents you should required at the time of admission are Domicile Certificate of state of Rajisthan, Migration Certificate, Charecter Certificate from the school you have passed class 12.

the procedure for b.com is like this way:

1. The Medium of Instruction is English.
2. Candidates may apply only after their Class XII results are declared.
3. Admission will be strictly on merit basis.
4. Seats for SC / ST candidates are reserved as per Government / Calcutta University Rules.
5. No physical forms will be issued from the College. Candidates will have to submit the application forms for admission through our website (www.shrishikshayatancollege.com). Upon submission of the online application form, a confirmation slip will be generated and the candidate must take printout (2 copies) of that confirmation slip, which contains a unique candidate number.

to get admission in calcutta university you should have passed 12 th with an aggregate of minimum 60% for GC & 55% for SC/ST

you would be required at least 60% in class 12 and 70% in Economics or Business Mathematics. Besides this you also have to pass Admission Test with good performance.

Forms will be availble as soon as WBCHSE results are out. You can expect the form within 10 days after the announcement of results of WBCHSE.

minimum eligibility for b,com hons in calcutta university is that you should be pass in class 12th with atleast 60 % marks and 70% in economics

I think you will be provided Honours.

For getting Economic honours in Bangabasi College, criteria is such that at least 50% aggregate, along with 50% in MAths or Economics

For Surendranath Evenging college dont know about B.com but for BA, 50% in Economics or MAths.

You will get honours dont worry !


Go to both the college, prospectus alongwith form are available, in college till 12th june merit list will be out on 21 june.

Look dear, with business studies you can take admission in any colleges in kolkata affiliated under calcutta university.The very thing you have to mark that did you pass or secured atleast 30% marks in mathematics, if you have really got good marks in board ISC then don't worry about the admission ,and if you got above 80% in accountancy in ISC then you can take admission in any college in a direct approach.

So, i think i 'm able to clear my point, for any further queries free to ask here.

please tell me the opening date of b.com honours admission form

Last date for availability of Foirms is 18th june. But reputed colleges has closed distributing admission forms and also they have announced the Merit list for selected students.

Admsssion procedure will be startd from 21st June, candidates those who have Good percentage can find direct admission on 21-24 June in colleges like- Bangabasi, Surentranath, Gurunanak etc.

i get 66.25 in best of 4..i scored 64 in acct but 73 in eng..so in which college can i get admission??though form distri bution is stoppd,,,but in which college online admission going on???pls rply fast...its urgent

It looks that You have handled the matter carelessly which is not good for your career.

However, CU has started its Admission from 21st June and till now all seats get filled almost in every college.

However, still there is a hope for you............!

You can try for Bangabasi, Surendranath, Vidyasagar colleges as because these colleges keep vacant some of its seats or provide direct admission till the date of commencement of classes.

Go to the College, and talk with Union Boys tey will help you in getting in.

You can not expect any other college except them. So, dont delay even a day now and just go for it.

admission is based on the merits wise.the top listed students can take the admission.

after the 12th with at least 60% marks,apply for the Calcutta university for

b.com and then college will make a list and then the admission of the listed students will be taken.

Well, For General and Honours both candidates have required to score at least 35% aggregate.

But if a Honours candidates fails to score less then 35% then he/she can continue in General course from 2nd year.

the eligibility criteria for B.com (hons) in Calcutta University is you sholud get 50% marks in aggregate and 60% marks in revalent subjects.generally these is the minimum criteria and admission to various colleges are based on percentage of marks in 12th level.

but if honours candidiates fails to score 35%then he can continue in general course for second year
