Hi, I have completed my ME in Software Engineering and BE in Computer Science and Engineering. I have also qualified in SET. So, am I eligible for the Assistant Professor post in Arts and Science colleges? Please tell me about this.

In order to become an Assistant professor, the candidate must have Masters degree in relevant field with 55% marks.

Must have cleared UGC NET or CSIR NET or a similar test accredited by the UGC at National level or SLET/SET or who has been awarded PhD degree from a recognised institution are eligible.
Or
PhD degree from a foreign institution with a ranking among top 500 in the world university ranking.

The upper age limit applicable for Assistant Professorship is 62 years .
5 to 10 years age relaxation is provided to reserved categories.
