I am in 3rd year of my B.Tech. Am I eligible for Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) 2020 session? Or, do I need to wait and complete my B.Tech 4th year as well?

You are not eligible to appear for CAPF examination in the 3rd year of B.Tech course.

The eligiblility to apply for the examination is that candidate must have passed or in the final year of bachelor degree course from a recognised university.

The age limit is 20- 25 years. The examination is conducted in three stages Written, PET and Personality Test for the final selection.

Central Armed Police Force examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission every year for selection of candidates in BSF, CRPF, CISF, SSB, ITBP etc.

The eligibility criteria for this exam is:

>>Candidate must have done bachelor's degree in any stream from a recognized university. Third year B.Tech candidates can not apply for this exam. You will be eligible for exam next year.

>>The age limit is 20-25 years with upper age relaxation applicable to candidates of reserved category.

The minimum height for male candidate is 165 cms and that for female candidate is 157 cms.

The minimum eligibility criteria required to apply for CAPF (Central Armed Police Force) AC recruitment are as below :-

* You must be an Indian citizen.

* Your age must lie within 20 years to 25 years. Age relaxation is allowed for candidates belonging to reserved category as per the government norms.

* You must have completed your graduation degree course from a recognised university. Students pursuing final year of their graduation degree course are also eligible.

* You must hold the physical standards are per the requirements.

So, being a student of 3rd year of B.Tech degree course, you are not eligible to apply for CAPF AC recruitment.

CAPF stands for Central Armed Police Force and the basic qualifications required to apply for UPSC CAPF recruitment are as following :-

* You must hold the nationality of India.

* Your age must lie in between 20 years to 25 years. Age relaxation is allowed for candidates belonging to reserved category as per the government norms.

* You must have completed your bachelor's degree course in any stream from a recognised university. Candidates pursuing final year of their bachelor degree course are also eligible.

* You must satisfy physical fitness as per the service requirement norms so that you clear Physical Efficiency Test.

So, being a student of 3rd of B.Tech degree course which is a four year course, you are not eligible for appearing in UPSC CAPF AC recruitment 2020.But, you can apply from the next year as far as the educational requirement for the same recruitment is concerned.
