Hey friends, i am Swati Jaiswal and i am a graduate in English honors with good communication skills. I want to know how i have to apply for the post of a news reader. What should be the eligibility criteria for news reader if i want to apply in Doordarshan.
Also, i have a good knowledge in Ms-office.

You are absolutely eligible for electronic media as a news reader,but it will be better if you had a mass communication Diploma,it will help you to enter the media world...
Firstly you can apply for any private news channel after that you can get a chance in doordarshan...

Graduate in english is not enough to become a newsreader.Nowadays atleast diploma in mass communication is required to become a newsreader or anchor or editor etc. So better to join any mass communication School so that you can get a job in news reading.

Basic qualification required is a graduate level degree from a recognized university. One has to undergo a voice test to test the quality of voice and an audition test for your actual online profile.

though you are absolutely eligible..but still you should do a course in mass communication as it will strengthen your ability...
