Eligibility criteria for pursuing M.Sc Mathematics course from BHU?
I am doing B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering. I have studied 5 papers of Mathematics in 4 semesters (2 years). Am I eligible for pursuing M.Sc Mathematics in Banaras Hindu University - BHU? Would I have to appear for any entrance as well?

Re: Eligibility criteria for pursuing M.Sc Mathematics course from BHU?
Yes, BHU conducts an entrance test for admission to its post graduation courses.
Since, you wish to get admission in M.Sc. Mathematics, so to be eligible for it, you should have completed B.Sc. in Mathematics. Then only, you can apply for M.Sc. Mathematics course by qualifying PET exam conducted by BHU. Since, you have completed B.Tech, so you cannot apply for PET exam of BHU. However, most of the other institutes allow B.E./B.Tech students also to pursue M.Sc. Mathematics. As engineering students already have studied Mathematics subject for 2 years in their 4 semesters. However, I had attached some past year papers of M.Sc.Mathematics entrance of BHU. |
