Hi, I want to go to Canada and for that I want to start my preparations as soon as possible. I am in 10th class now. I want to ask can I do IELTS after 10th?

Yes, of course a 10th passed candidate can appear for IELTS.

But note that you must have attained age of 16 years to be eligible for IELTS exam.

IELTS exam is for those students who wish to apply for study in UK, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, US.

You can definitely appear for IELTS exam after 10th class. But there are few eligibility criteria:
1. Your age should be 16 or above.
2. You must have a valid passport.
But, I suggest you that you should appear in IELTS after 12th class if you want to go abroad because after 12th, there are more options to study at abroad and you're mature enough to face the problems which will experience in abroad.
