Im 3rd yr (6 semester) student of Btech (IT) at Chennai. My 3rd yr will be complete on June 2011. I hv 65% in 12th pcm, above 71% in all 5 semesters No back. Hight 160cm. Kindly infm when Im applying for university scheme and where. Also infm criteria of eye sight.

]--the minimum eligibility for army selection is ..
--you should be 12th pass....ie. should be at-least 17yrs old.....
--so try for it when you cross 17th or your 12th standard board exams....

]--) you can......
1)join it as an sipahi after completing your 10th.
2) write the NDA exam after 12th and can become an officer .
3) write the CDS exam after completing your diploma or degree.

--Physical Standards : The applicant should fulfill the following physical standards -

Height should be 167 cms.

Weight should be 50 kgs.
Chest should be 77/82 cm.
The general health should be free from all the communicable, infectious disease, medical or surgical deformities.

sir i am suffering from myopia and have the eye defect of -1.5 diaopter....sir am i eligible for army...i am a final year student of b.tech from mechanical engineering...

i'm the student of 6th sem, can it possible to fill the form at time of 5th sem....?,
i fill up the form &send to pune ssb center but but reply is not yet comes...?
Qulificatins:-
1)I completed my 10th with 72% in Maharashtra board
2)i got more than 150 in PCM group in 12th
3)i scored above 60% in each sem of the branch computer science...

Please kindly note my reqest & reply me as fast as possible...

he is giving wrong answeres the guy from chennai was asking for UNIVERSITY ENTRY SCHEME procedure i.e.u can apply to army even after in 3rd year of ur engnrng n can join it directly after completing ur eng!!! these ppl who are giving ans to ques themselves don knw about university enrty scheme!!!
