I am a B.Sc Physics student. Is it possible for me to take M.Sc in Chemistry from any of the IITs? If yes, then how to apply for M.Sc Chemistry in any of the IIT? Which IIT will be best for M.Sc Chemistry? Which entrance exam do I need to write for admission?

Yes it is possible for you to study M.Sc in Chemistry from any of the IITs.

Eligibility needed to pursue M.Sc Chemistry from IITs:

Candidates belonging to GENERAL/OBC must have at least 55% aggregate marks in bachelor degree.
Candidates belonging to SC/ST must have at least 50% aggregate marks without rounding off.

In bachelor degree Chemistry for three years/six semesters should be there and Mathematics in 10+2 is compulsory.

To get admission in IIT for pursuing master degree the candidates have to qualify IIT-JAM entrance exam.

Dear student, first of all you should qualify B.Sc.(Hons.) in Chemistry from any Degree College. Thereafter you must appear IIT JAM Entrance exam to pursue M.Sc. in IIT. Best IIT's are Kharagpur IIT, Madras IIT, Bombay IIT. You can go for Guwahati IIT as well. Apart from IIT you can go to University of Calcutta, presidency University, Jadavpur University, JNU also.
