NIOS is also a recognized Board just like other Boards namely ISC, CBSE, State Boards.

If you have completed 12th from NIOS Board, then you can apply for JEE Advanced Exam after qualifying JEE Main Exam.

Note that to be eligible for applying in JEE Advanced Exam, you must have cleared cutoffs of JEE Main Exam required for appearing in JEE Main Exam.

For getting admission in IIT ( Indian Institute of Technology ), you are required to qualify JEE ( Joint Entrance Examination ) held by NTA ( National Testing Agency ) once every year.

JEE is conducted in two stages which includes JEE Main followed by JEE Advanced. Also, for getting admission in IIT, one is required to qualify the both stages of JEE.

The minimum education required for appearing in JEE for admission in IIT is a Class 12th with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as main subjects with at least 75% marks ( or 65% marks in case of SC/ST or PH category candidates ) from a recognized board of education. Students failing to secure mentioned aggregate but managing to making it to the top 20 percentile of their respective board of education on the basis of their Class 12th marks are also eligible.

So, having completed your Class 12th from NIOS board which is a recognized national board of education, you are eligible for getting admission in IIT, if you have completed your Class 12th in PCM group with above mentioned minimum percentage of marks and manages to qualify both stages of JEE.

NIOS stands for National Institute of Open Schooling. It is a Central government recognized board. The marksheet of this board is applicable for Joint Entrance Examination.

NIOS 12th board passed candidates can apply for JEE examination. When you clear JEE Main and Advanced, you can get admission in IITs.

JEE is Joint Entrance Examination. It is conducted in two stages and you have to appear and qualify in both stages for admission in IIT.

Two stages are :-

Main.

Advanced.

Yes, candidates passed 12th from NIOS are eligible to appear for JEE.

Candidates will become eligible to appear for Advanced stage after qualifying in Main stage of examination.

So, you will have to appear and qualify in Main stages first to become eligible for Advanced stage.

Yes, candidates of NIOS board are eligible to appear for JEE. It is conducted in two stages and after qualifying in both the stages you will become eligible to get admission in IIT in B.Tech course.

The eligibility to appear for JEE Advanced is that candidate must have passed JEE Main which is the first stage of the examination.

So, you first need to appear and qualify in the first stage to become eligible for next stage.

Lots of students are confused regarding validity of National Institute of Open Schooling board. They are confused that whether they will be eligible for competitive entrance exams or higher studies course.

Let me make you clear that it is 100% valid board of Government of India. You can study B.Tech in IIT through JEE Main and Advanced exam after 12th from NIOS.

JEE refers to Joint Entrance Examination and it is conducted by NTA in two stages which includes JEE Main followed by JEE Advanced.

As far as you are concerned about the eligibility to appear in JEE Advanced then for the same, you are required to have completed your Class 12th with PCM group with at least 75% marks ( or 65% marks in case of SC/ST or PH category candidates ) from a recognized board of education. Also, you must qualify the JEE Main for sure.

So, having completed your Class 12th with NIOS which is one of the three national board of education, you are certainly eligible for appearing in JEE Advanced if you have managed to secure the minimum marks ( specified above) in your Class 12th with PCM group and manages to qualify JEE Main too .

For more details regarding JEE Main, you can refer to the link www.jeemain.nic.in while for details regarding JEE Advanced, you can refer to the link www.jeeadv.nic.in.
