Re: Which engineering college should I choose after having compartment in board exam?
In Kerala, the govt has some agreement with the self-financing colleges. Under this 50% seat has to be merit seats based on entrance exam rank merit and also following the statutory reservation guidelines. The fees is as prescribed by govt which is Rs 45000/- or so and uniform in all such colleges. Remaining 50% seats are management quota, but admission is based on the entrance exam qualification with a ranklist prepared by the college and with / without interview. The fees is Rs 95000/- p.a. A small percentage out of this mgmt quota is earmarked for the NRIs in certain colleges.
