Which entrance exam do I need to write for entering Defence?
Which exams are to be given to enter in defense sector with a post of an Architect? What is the syllabus and exam pattern of the entrance? Can you also share sample test paper with solution.

You should have given an entrance examination of CDS( Combined Defence Service).
This examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission two times in a year. Age limit is 19 to 25 years and 5 years age relaxation for SC / ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates. Syllabus for CDS examination:- General Knowledge General English Elementary Maths. |

You can join the defence sector after qualifying in CDS examination.
CDS examination is conducted by UPSC. It is conducted twice in a year. The eligibility to appear in the examination is that candidate must have passed bachelor degree from a recognised university. The age limit is 19-24 years. The examination is conducted in two stages. You are not eligible for Navy as per the qualification. For more information visit at www.upsc.gov.in. |

Hi there,
If you have completed 12th and is of age under 18 then you need to write NDA exam or if you have completed graduation and is of age under 24 then you need to write CDSE exam to get into Defence. Thanks. |

CDS(Combined Defense Services) examination is needed for entering Defense sector.
Every year, UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) conducts CDS examination. The educational qualifications required for the CDS examination are mentioned below:- 1. Candidates must have completed their graduation degree in any discipline from any recognised college or, university. 2. Final year candidates are also eligible. 3. Sex:- Both male and female. 4. Marital Status:- Unmarried. 5. Nationality:- Indian. 6. Physically and mentally fit. 7. Age limit:- 19-25 years. 8. Age Relaxation:- 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates. |
