Respected Sir/Madam, due to this lockdown, all has been disturbed. I am now in 11th and interested to do PhD in Stem Cells. I am going to join classes now for 12th. But I have a query. Which are the entrance exams to be given to do PhD in Stem Cells?

Eligibility for PhD in Stem Cells-
• Should be at least post graduate from a recognised university in same subjects or subjects related to stem cell culture.

Centres/ Institute to pursue this course-
* NCCR
* AIIMS
* Madras university
* Banglore university

Take a BSc, in a cell biology related or biotech related subjects and do its masters probably abroad, or in India. Then if you want a little bit more studying try for M Phil. Otherwise you can straight forward move on to PhD. Of couse you would need your NET exams to be cleared. Entrance exams depends on the Institutes in India. In case of abroad, you may need GRE still depending on the Institution. IELTS is also another requirement. There are cases, where you can directly do a PHd right after Bachelors degree abroad. But its risky to be honest. The better score will get you into a better school. Ps. try to have a paper or 2 to be published or made into a journal, so that you get more chances for a PhD admission and it will be a plus point.
