Respected Sir, I want to become a Police Sub Inspector. I am studying in Graduation and I want to know which exam I have to give to achieve my aim? Can you please help me to know about this?

To become Sub - Inspector in state you have to appear and qualify in examination conducted by respective state, while SSC conduct CPO examination for recruitment in CAPFs and Delhi Police.

The required age limit varies with examination but in general the required educational qualification is bachelor degree from a recognised university.

So, you can visit the official website of respective state to get detail information regarding the selection procedure.

For CPO visit at www.ssc.nic.in.

To become Sub-Inspector in Police, you can apply for SSC CPO Sub-Inspector (SI) exam.

Apart from SSC CPO, several states also conduct exams for filling the posts of Sub Inspector. One such recruitment exam is UP Police SI recruitment.

There is defined age limit to be eligible for Sub Inspector post.

Age limit:

• 20 to 25 years (as on 1st January 2021).
• Relaxation in age is offered to reserved category candidates (5 years to SC/ST, 3 years to OBC)

Educational qualification:

• Bachelor degree in any field from a recognized University/Institute.

Each state conduct separate examination for SI recruitment.

You have to appear in your state SI recruitment exam.

Example - If you are from Madhya Pradesh than you will appear in MP SI recruitment.

Each state has their own selection procedure but basic criteria for SI recruitment is given below.

2. PET.
3. Merit list.
4. Document Verification.
