I want to apply for RRB JE ,and in stage 4 there is a medical test which also includes vision test ,but I have an eye sight of -6 for both left and right eye ,so, am I eligible for RRB JE or not

Eye sight for RRB JE is required :-

Distance Vision:- 6/9, 6/12 with or without glasses (power of lenses not to exceed 4D).

Near Vision:- Sn. 0.6, 0.6 with or without glasses when reading or close work is required and must pass tests for Colour Vision, Binocular Vision, Field of Vision & Night Vision.

Visual standards - Distance vision:
6/9, 6/12 with or without glasses ( power of lenses not to exceed 4D).
Near vision: Sn. 0.6, 0.6 with or without glasses when reading or close work is required and must pass tests for colour vision, Binocular vision, field of vision and night vision.

Requirement
Distance vision 6/9, 6/12 with or without glasses. Power of lenses not to exceed
4D

Near vision 0.6, 0.6 with or without glasses.

They have to pass test for colour vision , binocular vision , field of vision & night vision.
They must be physically fit in all standards.
In order to get the appointment letter one needs to pass through medical exam.
They have to pass the test for field of vision and if they can read nearby work with or without glasses.

The eyesight requirement for RRB JE is given below.

A-1 --> Distance Vision 6/6, 6/6 without glasses. Near Vision-Sn:0.6,0.6 without glasses and must pass the test for color vision, binocular vision, the field of vision & Night vision.

A-2, A-3 --> Distance Vision 6/9, 6/9 with or without glasses. Near Vision-Sn:0.6,0.6 with or without glasses and must pass the test for color vision, binocular vision, the field of vision & Night vision.

B-1, B-2--> Distance Vision 6/9, 6/12 with or without glasses. Near Vision-Sn:0.6,0.6 with or without glasses and must pass the test for color vision, binocular vision, the field of vision & Night vision.

C-1 --> Distance Vision 6/12, 6/18 with or without glasses. Near Vision-Sn:0.6,0.6 with or without glasses when reading or close work is required.

C-2--> Distance Vision 6/9, Nil with or without glasses. Near Vision-Sn:0.6 combined with or without glasses when reading or close work is required.

:- 6/9 or 6/12 with or without glasses as well as complete the test of all type of visual

With the glass or without glass your eyesight should be 6/9 for RRB JE .
