my daughter will be appearing for 10th std exams this year.we are really confused about which field to opt for after this.she is interested in maths.please help.

if you are interested in engineering course later,you can go for any Diploma course in any of Computer Sc.,Electronics & Communication,IT,Mechanical,Civil,Electrical branches etc.

For that,after completing the diploma course you have to appear Lateral Entry Engineering Test(LEET) which is a examination through which you can take admission in 2nd year or 3rd semester of BE/B.Tech engineering.


Eligibility:

you can take admission in the BE/BTech programs if:

1:you pass any diploma degree of minimum 3 years after 10th.

2:you are a citizen of India.

otherwise,you can go for higher study means 12th,then Bachelor degree,Master degree and then Ph.D in your subject.

I suggest you to take the MPC stream after the completion of your 10th standard.since your interested very much in maths.after the completion of +2 u can get into any stream which you can want to join for further studies after writing the competitive exams of the respected universities. where you can join either in electrical or computer science department based on your interest.

To select a stream, you first need to identify your strengths and your weaknesses... you can perhaps give an aptitude test so that it becomes easy for you to find your interest areas....
For example, if you are good in Mathematics and Science, you should go for the Engineering stream....on the other hand, if you have interest in arts, law, then Commerce stream would be better......
So in my view, try to introspect in order to find your weak and strong areas....

after 10th you opt among many field like you can go for science+maths, sci+bio, commerce etc,
or you can go for engineering diploma if you are having interest in engineering field then you can take direct admission in B.tech 2 nd year, in various states:

> if in future you want to go for B.SC then may opt SCI+MATHS, OR BIO:
AND CAN GO FOR higher education;
the decision depends on your area of interest, you are having many ways, which you should have to choose,


my opinion is that it is better to go for diploma after 10th and then come to b.tech 2ND year directly;

Maths and physics are quite related , so you she can opt for science stream , in case if she is interested in arts subjects then also she can choose maths as one of the paper for her class 11 and 12 . or else she can choose commerce with accounts .Let your daughter decide these subjects based on her interest , then only she will be able to perform well in the furture .All the three stream are equally important .All the best .

Look it depends your intrest . Depending on your intrest you should choose.
75% is not a bad score and you can even go for science if you
are intrested in Engineering and medical field in future.
However if you are intrested in commerce and buisness related fields
then take commerce.
However after science also you can take courses like CA,CS and MBA also.
So taking science will provide you lot of options later on,
rest depends on your intrest level, your career goals etc.
And do plan very well before taking any decision.

i am quite confused for what to opt after my 10th standard..i am intrested in history and civics and i want to go for humanities but people usuall say that humanities is not a good choice...can anybody pls help me in deciding my career....??

Students get confused what to do after passing 10th class.10th class is the 1st step where a student should start thinking about their career.There are 3 secondary Boards:
1. CBSE(Central Board of Secondary education)
2.ICSE(Council For The Indian School Certificate Exam)
3.The state Boards.
Each having its own syllabus.
Most of the student confused to decide a right career path.After 10th a good option to joinig +2.The selection is depends upon the students grade& marks.
The streams available i the +2 level are:
1.science.
2.Arts.
3.commerce.
If you are selecting science stream,there are a lot of option available for the students.They can take up courses such as engineering,Medical,Management or go for many other up coming option in future.

The best thing for her at this initial stages that she should go for the 10+2 with physics ,chemistry and mathematics as core subjects as lots of entrance exam has 10+2 as the basic requirement

Tell her to go thorough NCERT books of the all the three subjects which I have mentioned above .For maths,R.D Sharma will also help her in securing better marks in 10+2.Practice is the main key to get good marks in it along with proper revision at regular intervals.
