Hi. It all depends on the job specification. You can apply for the same when there is an opportunity & depending on their requirement they would do the selection. We also request you to be more specific about your career goals and interests so that we could guide you better. In general, though, The IT field is vast and you have many options before you, once you complete your course. Depending on your inclination, you could look at networking or systems design or Web technologies such as .NET or database administration and warehousing. You could eventually think of specializing in one area by doing certifications that add to your basic qualification. We recommend that you choose based on your interests and strengths as this will lead you to perform better in whichever area you choose, and hence tap into better growth opportunities.

You can try your luck in many government sector but you have to clear their written exam.
Prepare from best coaching center.
You can tru for these sector.

ISRO
Civil Services (IAS,IPS,IFS,IES)
Exam conducted by SSC
Indian Army,Navy ,Air Force
PSUs( NTPC,BHEL,SAIL,GAIL,IOCL,ONGC,BPCL,HPCL etc)
Central and state government services

Dear friend there are some jobs in govt. sectors like
STPI( SOFTWARE TECHNOLOGY PARK OF INDIA), DELHI for maember of technical staff, administrative officer.
BHEL, so check out there.

Dear there is lot of government services for computer engg. students like you can apply for Bank P.O. etc.

But there is little bit difference that you have to study those chapters also which appears in the government exams.

This you can see from the previous years papers of government services.

yes there is many job option in the government sector for the computer science engineers.

you can make your carrier in the field of the defense the door of the defense is always open for the computer science engineering.

also you can go in the field of the ISRO AS well as the DRDO.

you can go for the upsc exam.

Engineers have wide scope both in private as well as in public sector. If you are interested in academics you can appear for NET and get into some government Colleges. You can also appear for Civil service exams or get into defense after clearing CDS.Engineers can also get opportunities in NTPC, BHEL, SAIL etc

there is many jobs related to computer engineer.u can get many jobs in public sector.there is so much requirment for computer engineer in govt department.many vacancies are present in various field.u can get in any department by giving an entrance exam.u can see many questions related to your field.
