Having failed in 6 subjects in 1st year, how can it affect placement?
I'm student under VTU. I have not cleared 6 of my subjects in 3rd and 4th semester. So, I have got a year back. I wanted to know how this affects my placements and will scoring good marks in my second attempt do anything?

1. It does not matter how many backlogs you had past, if you clear all your backlogs before appear for placement drives then there will be no problem in placements and further.
2. During personal interview, you must have valid reasons why you had so much of backlogs in bachelor's degree. As it shows that your were not syllabus at time of education. |

The eligibility criteria required at time of placement:
Academic qualification: You must have passed 10th, 12th and bachelor's degree from a recognized board. Minimum of 60% marks throughout academics required. No pending backlogs allowed at time of recruitment. If you manage to clear all backlogs before placement then there will be no problem. |
