hello i'm kranthi, wat is the minimum hight for SI? IS there any change between sc.st/other caste,actually i'm 5.5 hight,am i elgible for si or not

Hello friend,
As per upsc rules the general height for a IPS candidate should be minimum of 150 cm and it ranging to 165 cms.
The fitness of a candidate is must for the IPS selection criteria.
For IPS selection, there are many rounds are there first you have to clear the written test which is very tough as compared to the other exams. Then they took fitness test by chest expansion, the chest must be more than 75cms, 5cms after expansion.
After all finally they took personal interview. So fitness is very crucial round for the selection in IPS.

Height required for police in AP as per the rule of UPSC should be atleast 150-165 cm. and chest must be 75 cm & 80 cm after expansion..
