Question Re: How to become an Air Force Officer after completion of 12th Board exams?

Yes, there is only one way in which you can join Indian Air Force as a commissioned officer after 12th class.

You appear NDA written exam conducted by UPSC twice a year and then crack the 57 days long interview process.

Students, who want to join IAF right after completing 12th standard, NDA is the point of entrance. NDA is the door through which you should enter. ... To get into NDA, one must appear for the National Defence Academy entrance exam and clear the SSB (Services Selection Board) Interview

--- There is no such provision existing which allows girls to join the Indian Air Force after 12th.

---The minimum eligibility criteria requires you to be a graduate. And as a graduate you can join the Indian Airforce through AFCAT exam.

You are not eligible to join Indian Air Force on the basis of Std 12th qualification being a girl candidate.

You will have to pursue bachelor degree to become eligible to appear in AFCAT examination.

After qualifying in AFCAT, you will become eligible for recruitment as an officer in Indian Air Force.

For more information about the examination visit at www.careerindianairforce.nic.in.

The first thing I would like to let you know that to become an officer in Indian Air force on the basis of Class 12th education, only unmarried Indian male candidate are eligible and that too by qualifying NDA (National Defence Academy) examination held by UPSC twice every year.

Since, you are a girl candidate, you are not eligible to join Indian Air force just after completion of your Class 12th.

Further, the only option available for you to join Indian Air force is through AFCAT (Air Force Common Admission Test).

For complete details regarding AFCAT or other entries available in Indian Airforce, you can refer to the link www.careerairforce.nic.in.

Hi.
To become an Air Force girl officer, you need to complete your graduation and then you can apply for AFCAT exam. But the eligibility criteria for AFCAT is that you must have 60% marks in each maths and physics at 10 + 2 level. So , if you have chosen AB group at 10 + 2 level, then yes you can become an Air Force officer.
Otherwise you can go for the post of medical assistant and you can also be a Medical officer in Indian Airforce with biology. For that, you can appear for AFMC examinations and clear them and become a medical officer. But the selection for AFMC is through all india NEET and there are only 25 seats open for girls. If you will work hard, you can definitely achieve that.
Thank you.

1. At senior secondary level, the competitive exam for entry into Indian Air Force is National Defence Academy exam conducted by UPSC.

2. For this exam, only unmarried male Indian candidates are eligible. Female candidates can not apply for this exam.

Female candidates can apply for Air Force Common Admission Test after bachelor's degree. For Flying branch, Mathematics and Physics at 12th level is necessary. You can apply for Ground Duty branch.
