hello my name is tanu goel. i am indian and i am doing my engineering. i want to become an astronaut i am very keen interested in becoming an astronaut in nasa. so please tell me the whole procedure that how can i become an astronaut in nasa. its very important for me because its my dream and i have to fulfill it with my full hard work and dedication.

madam u can get this only if u do ur specialization of post graduates degree in relations with the astro physcis branch or areonotics or other related like e and c or insrumentation like that and then u qualify in education pattern

The minimum requirement for becoming an astranuat is Bachelor's Degree in Engineering. You can step forward to become a pilot or mission specialist after completing your engineering course. Wish you good luck for your future.

if u want to fulfill ur dream u must have to do specialization in some field through any renouned university .since u are an engg. student u need to apply for m.tech or ms and after doing specialization u would be having chance to join nasa (becoz it requires high intellectual status),and as well u need to apply for american citizen ship for making ur way easier.

If you are really intrested in Astronomy & Space Researching then first of all you have to complete your Engineering Degree. After its completion, you can try for Indian Space Research Institute (ISRO), Bangalore. Then, by having a good experience in Space Science, you can try for NASA.

Join for BTech degree in IIST(Indian Institute of Space Science & Technology)
Visit IIST official website. IIST . You will get details.

JOINING NASA IS NOT AN EASY TASK.

but not an impossible one.

to become an astronaut you required an b.tech (aerospace or aeronautical)
from a reputed institute.visit nasa website nasa.gov

they usually give salary of $1,00,000+ annualy to their astronauts.

first i will suggest you to concentrate on your studies and make a honors degree and then go for pg with iits n then you have chance for becoming astronaut

first you get an graduation in aerospace from some reputed college in India and then go to america for higher studies in aerospace engineering there you can get chance to join NASA

If you done graduation in physics,engineering,biology,mathematics,chemistry. .. then you should have experience of 3yrs and you should pass NASA's entrance exam and for who have done post graduation experience required is 2yrs and should pass NASA's exam...... and those have done Ph.d, experience is not reqired but you should pass NASA's exam to get into NASA................

however,apart from NASA' s exam candidates also have to pass medical fitness test for getting in....

Joining NASA is not easy but it is a great job and you must be a b.tech complete student...

All of you Those who want to Join NASA/ISRO or want to become Astronaut Kindly Read the whole post nicely.

For becoming an Astronaut check weather you have that qualities or not.



Then you have to acquire anyone of the following degree from a good institute like IIT or IISC or IIST (most suitable).

P.hd (Astro physics).
P.hd (Geophysics).
P.hd (Metaphysics) I mean to say any branch of physics which leads to space science,these are few examples.

You can persue these degrees from IIT's or IISc,after acquiring these degrees from there you can appear for entrance conducted by NASA at international level for recruiting Astronauts,Scientists etc.You can also work with our country's ISRO various entrance are cionducted by ISRO for recruiting Scientists and engineers for carrying Space reasearch or various jobs.

M.tech/P.hd (Aerospace engineering)
M.tech.P.hd (Aeronautical engineering)

There are various ways:
1. You can apply directly after 12th, for training.
2. You can pass out as aeronautics engg. ,and give its entrances.

First of all its very important that which field are you doing your engineering in? Opportunities in NASA are more for aeronautical engineers! last But not the least you need to have some talent different from others! try to see and develop good thinking analyzing and solving type of skills! Finally your confidence and dedication will take you to higher levels

really it is very good that you want to go for the astronaut.and for this you must have a b.tech degree with minimum 60% marks.then you can apply for the isro and after isro you can go for the astronaut.

Well, if so then Better persue your Aeronautical Engineering degrees from IIST.

IIST conducts Admission to its specialied courses which leads in space tecnhnology.

For entering into IIST you have to crack ISAT, which was introduced this year previously the admission were based on IITJEE. After that you will be provided Admission into B.tech if you have good performance in B.tech then you would also offered M.tech or P.hd. all study there is free of cost,after aquiring degree from there you will be absorb as an Scientist of ISRO. on the aggrement of 2 years.

If you dont want to work with ISRO then you can leave after paying 10 lacs to the Authority.

Eligibility Criteria for ISAT:- Candidate must have at least 70% aggregate in class 10 (including science group) and in class 12 (including
pcm) also.

Since criteria is very tough and entrance is also very few students able to meet the criteria so in that case you can go for IITJEE and AIEEE also.

Its good to have ambition like you but for fulfillin that you have to do hard work dear.
First complete your engineerin and then do mastry in stream.
Because thinking about NASA is so far
They need very qualified candidate for their work.
So, please do masters inyour field and get as more as you can get experience then its easy for you.
