Now, there are two possible ways to join the police department. Either you may appear for entrance exam conducted by the state police and get recruited as sub-inspector or you may sit for the civil service exam and join the Indian Police Service and get appointed as Assistant Commissioner of Police/Assistant Superintendent of Police. Once you join the police department, you may later try and be part of the criminal investigating department. |
