As you completed your +2 and your saying you don't have sufficient marks so NDA is not a good choice. I think you must continue your studies in Engineering and this time acquire good subject knowledge and secure good percent. then your dream is again open for you , You can write CDS exam held twice a year or many posts are offered in there 3rd yr or final yr to join INDIAN ARMY directly as an officer without any written test also a group discussion interview and SSB interview will be there. Secondly, IES is also a very good choice after engineering. but not for ARMY. You will be placed in Indian army as an officer in the technical field. |

Re: How to become an Indian Army Officer?
Dear Prakash,
Its not necessary to have excellent marks in 12th to become an Indian Army Officer. After 12th , you can join Indian Army if you crack the NDA Examination. The NDA Stands for National defense Academy Examination. This Examination is conducted every year by the Union Public Service Commission. This Examination is for those students who want to join the following wings of Indian Defense : a) Indian Army b) Indian Navy c) Indian Air Force But in order to appear in the NDA Examination , you need to fulfill some of the eligibility criteria for NDA Examination which are set by the Union Public Service Commission. The Required Eligibility Criteria For NDA Examination are : * you should have completed 12th in any discipline from any recognized board. * There is no minimum percentage requirement for NDA Exam. * your age should lie in between 16.5-19 years. * You must be a male candidate as female candidates are not allowed to appear in this exam. * You must be an Indian National. * You must be physically and mentally fit. If you have the following qualifications , then you can appear in the NDA Examination and by passing the examination you can become an Indian Army officer. This is the information i ahve to the best of my knowledge regarding your query. Hope the information will help you to the extent you want. |
