How to become Lecturer/Professor in medical colleges in Tamil Nadu?
I am final year B.Sc Biochemistry student. I want to become a Lecturer in government medical colleges in Tamil Nadu. Which post-graduation degree I have to choose and please tell me the steps to become a Lecturer in medical colleges in Tamil Nadu?

You can do your postgraduation in the subject which you want to teach.
Then you have to work as senior resident in the same subject for another 3 years. After that one becomes eligible for the post of Assistant professor in that subject. A non medical approved medical MSc qualification sha be sufficient for appointment as a lecturer in the subject concerned but for promotion yo higher teaching post , a candidate must possess PhD degree in the subject. Those who have qualified NET or an equivalent exam are also eligible. |
