sir iam studing b.sc(cs) in second year.my aim is become a software engg.after complte my b.sc(cs) and how to join the software engg?

sir! can i do softwear enineering on master level after after completing bachelor of computer science? plz i need a quick reply....

can only those students become computer engineer who get good marks?

The best option in front of you is complete the B.Sc course following which apply for the B.Tech is Computer Science. There is also an option to apply for B.Tech in IT however I would strongly discourage going for that course.


Now it is important to know that in order to apply for B.Tech course you will first have to complete B.Sc course. After which please remember that you would not be able to appear for the IIT-JEE or the AIEEE entrance exam. You even can not appear for the ISEET entrance exam which would replace the two exams mentioned above from the next year onwards.


The process to get admission for B.Tech after completing B.Sc is called lateral entry scheme. It is only offered to candidates who have either completed Bachelor in Science or Diploma in Engineering course. Therefore you will first require to complete the B.Sc course before applying for the B.Tech.


The lateral entry scheme would give you admission in the second year of B.Tech in Computer Science. Therefore instead of 4 years of B.Tech, you would only have to study B.Tech for three years.


Lateral Entry Scheme is quite common for Engineering in India. It was started for B.Sc students to give them a chance for better future. It was done due to drop in value of the Bachelor in Science degree.


Like I said, lateral entry is quite common which is why colleges reserve at leat 10 to 20 percent seats every year for the lateral entry students. However some universities like the IIT do not offer lateral entry.


You can directly apply for B.Tech course through lateral entry. There are several colleges who would give direct admission for candidates who have scored at least 50-60 percent marks in the B.Sc graduation.


However some colleges would ask you to appear for the entrance exam. The most common entrance exam is called LEET. However some colleges conducts their own entrance exam.


After completing B.Tech in Computer Science, you would be eligible for good job in top IT companies. However a lot would depend on your academic performance. Some companies where you can apply for jobs are:
