Re: How can a Commerce student become a English Lecturer in University?
Since, you are interested in becoming a university lecturer in English, then for the same your need to qualify NET(National Eligibility Test)/SET(State Eligibility Test) (with English as your concerned paper for the examination ) held by concerned examination body for recruitment of lecturers/assistant professor and JRFs across various universities.
Further, for appearing in NET/SET with English as your paper for examination, you are required to have completed your Master's degree in English with at least 55% marks (or 50% marks in SC/ST or PH category ) from a recognized university. Also, to pursue Master's in English, you are required to have completed your graduation degree course with English as paper for throughout your three year course. So, being a student of Class 12th in Commerce stream, to become a lecturer in English, you need to follow the above mentioned procedure. |

To become a English Lecturer in University:
1) Candidate need to pursue B.A (Hons.) after intermediate. 2) Then the candidates need to do master's in English. 3) After that the candidates need to qualify NET (National Eligibility Test) to become a English lecturer in University. 4) Candidates who have PhD degree with them get an exemption from applying and qualifying NET exam but there are certain conditions to be fulfilled by PhD candidates: <> PhD degree must be awarded through regular mode. <> Research thesis done by them must be evaluated by at least two external examiners. |
