UPSC has released the notifications for the 2013 Prelims Exams.
Next UPSC Prelims Exams will be held on 26th MAY 2013 Notifications for this exam has been released on 5th March 2013 Last date to apply is 4th April 2013 You can apply for the Prelims Exams online through the website http://upsconline.nic.in/ Eligibility to apply is: Educational Qualifications: Graduation pass in any Stream AGE- Minimum 21 years Maximum 30 years Candidates belonging to OBC gets 3 years and SC/ST gets 5 years age relaxations ATTEMPTS- General candidates- 4 times OBC- 7 times SC/ST- No such restriction |

To become an IPS(Indian Police Service) officer one has to crack Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC once every year.
The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate with good Physical Fitness. The selection is through three stages:- -CSAT - Civil Service Aptitude Test - Preliminary Exam comprises of objective type questions. Civil Service Main Exam comprises of subjective type questions. The procedure to apply for Indian Police Service after the Bachelor of Commerce is same as any other course. You will have to appear for the Civil Service Examination to become Indian Police Service officer.
The exam is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission. The notification is issued by the end of the year and written tests takes place in two stages in the following year. First stage is preliminary exam where 2 written tests are conducted. Their marks are not included in the final tally but still preliminary is important to clear so that candidate can appear for the second stage. Main Exam is the second stage. You will have to clear preliminary first to reach here. Only candidates who have cleared the preliminary are called for the main examination. In this stage candidate has to appear for 9 written tests. Here are the papers: Indian Language English Essay General Studies 1 General Studies 2 Optional Subject 1 Optional Subject 1 Optional Subject 2 Optional Subject 2 Eligibility Criteria 1. Any candidate of Indian origin can appear. 2. Basic education requirement is bachelor degree in any stream. 3. The age limit is 21 to 30 years as on August 1 of the year examination will take place. 4. OBC candidate can appear for IPS till 33 years. 5. SC/ST can appear for IPS till 35 years. It's good taste to become an IPS officer but you must do necessary work for it.
Here i provide you the procedure of applying for the IPS examination: Basically IPS is an examination conducted by the UPSC board in the name of Civil Services examination.This will be conducted every year. For applying for the examination candidate must go to the UPSc official website and then he need to fill in all the details required and then proceed to next stage and like wise he must complete filling the form and for reserved category and for girls since there willl not be the fees they can proceed further bu those who are general and Obc category can pay the fees online or offline by paying the challan. This completes the procedure of filling the form and applying for the IPS examination. Required Conditions for the IPS job are as follows: Educational criteria: Candidates must have completed graduation/degree from any recognized university. Age: 21 years of age.to 30 years. Age relaxation is provided for reserved categories. 5 years for SC/ST Candidates. 3 years for OBC candidates. General candidates have 4 attempts , OBC have 7 attempts and the Sc/St candidates have no limitation on the number of attempts. Physical Requirements: MALE - HEIGHT-165 cm(SC/ST Category 160 cm) Female-155 cm(SC/ST Category 150 cm) CHEST: MALE:84cm,Expansion - 5 cm. FEMALE:79cm,Expansion -5 cm. The procedure you have to follow to apply for IPS(Indian Police Service) :-
1) First you should get graduation certificate from recognized education institute like you mentioned above B.com. 2) Then you must wait for announcement of civil service examination from UPSC board. 3) In that announcement they will mension where the application forms are available. almost you will get application form from banks otherwise apply through online. 4) You have to carefully fill options asked in that form and you need to post your graduation certificate xerox copy along with your application form. 5) After that you need to appear in the Preliminary Exam. 6) If your score is good you will have to go for mains.... .... this is the process you need to follow. |
