how can i change the gate 2010 exam centre if i have already posted my form?
what will be the procedure for the same?

I have filled the GATE 2010 application though the online mode. I wish to reverse the priority of the centres i filled in the application. Whom should i contact in this regard. Kindly help. This is urgent.

it is not possible to change the gate examination center once if you have posted your application form.

the center can not be changed ,.

you can either call the chairman of iit or send a mail to him requesting for change of the center...

you must be careful when you choosing centres.its not possible to change the centre but you further move with any iits so they may tell some alter so make it quick.go and check directly.

I have applied online for AIEE2010 for BE/BTECH. But now I would like to apply for B.Arch and B.Planning also. Can I make the changes.

you have to show enough reasons to change the centre you wre allocated to for the exam which may for you illness(with proper medical certificate) or enough reason for which you are unable to reach that particular exam centre. you have to the authorities they can only give you the permission to give exam to other centre you will select (easiest and clean way to give the exam hassle free).

Change of Examination City is permitted, only if a request for the same reaches the GATE Chairman of zone to which the Application Form was originally submitted, on or before December 31 , 2009, along with
Demand Draft of Rs. 400/- as fee for change of Examination City.

although there is no procedure for changing the centre once u have sent the application......but u can try and call the institute whose phone no. is on officil website or on the broacher.....they may look into the matter if u have a genuine reason for it.....

all procedure should be done before 19th jan for change of examination centre by contacting nearest gate zonal offices

by now your admit card may also have been dispatched and it is not possible to change the center now,you have to write the exam in the center which you have mentioned

How con i see the examination centre that are alloted for particular candidates

please contact with the GATE 2010 conducting chairman......do it quickly...as there is no time left because all admit cards has been dispatched

i think its too late because all admit cards has been dispatched;;;
examination date is 14th feb.....
so,its not possible in this time.

for changing your exam center you have to contact the concern authority or you can send a e mail regarding the change of exam center and provide your application number also.

contact your zone coordinator and change the exam centre

soor friend,but there is no option to change the center of the gate,after posting the forms,so dont think of it,just concetrate on your stidies

once you have submitted the form it is impossible to change the centre ......and also the gate exan is already over in 14th of feb,2010.....so better luck next time...

sir, i want the procedure of changing gate zone and center. when i fill the form then i am working at Mumbai now i shift in Rajasthan so, i want to change center from Mumbai to Rajasthan(sikar,jaipur) & i am not submitted hard copy of gate application but pay online

Am sorry to inform you that you cannot change your examination center now. The exam conductor goes through an elaborate process to set the exam centers and do not have any procedure to change it.
But you can try one thing. you can to the director of the conducting institute. He may help you. But instead of taking so much trouble it will b easier to give the exam in the alloted center.
