IPS stands for Indian Police service.

IPS exam is conducted by UPSC. There are some criteria you have to follow for appearing in IPS exam.This exam is conduct through Civil Service Exam .

Minimum educational qualification required for IPS Exam is Bachelor degree .There is not require any kind of percentage marks in graduation degree .

Your age should be in between 21-30 years for general candidate.Age relaxation for OBC candidate is 3years and for SC/ST candidate is 5 years.

There is a restriction for attempts .The no attempts allowed for IPS exam is given below-

General Candidate can maximum 4 Times
OBC Candidate can Maximum 7 Times
SC/ST there is no attempt Limit

Selection process for IPS Exam are -

1) Preliminary Test
2)Mains Exam
3)Personal Interview.

Physical standard for IPS Exam :-



Eye sight – 6/6 or 6/9 distant vision for good eye. 6/12 or 6/9 for worst eye. Near vision J 1 for good eye. J2 for worst eye. High standard for the Colour-blind test. No inherent night blindness. Vision should stereoscopic.

Blood pressure (High) – Age 23 – 123, age 24 – 124, age 25 –122, age 28 – 124, age 30 –125, age 32 – 126, age 34 – 127.
Ladies should not be pregnant at the time of Medical Test.

Ear- good listening & normal ear cavity. 1000 to 4000 frequency hearing impairment should not be more than 30 decibels.

Nasal- candidate should not stammer while speaking.

>> All is Just you have to apply for the Civil Service Exam which is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission once a year. the examination is very tough so, prepare well for cracking this examination.......

Written Exam has two phases:-

## Preliminary exam and
## Main Exam


Eligibility and Criteria:-

• A candidate with the Graduation degree in any field of study from the Recognized Universities are eligible for applying this exam.....
  
• A candidate must have Nationality of India...
  
• While Pursuing the Final year also applicable....
  
• Age of candidate should be between 21 to 30 years...

Age Relaxation:-

## For OBC 3 year (33 year).
## For SC/ST 5 years (35 year).


Attempt Limit:-

Generally a candidate can apply max. 4 times, For OBC category candidate it is max. 7 times while, for SC/ST category No attempt Limit.....


Physical Requirement:-


~~ Male: Height should be at least 165 Cm. for SC/ST should be at least 162 Cm.
~~ Female: it should be 155 Cm.
~~ Chest should be 77 Cm. for Male ad 76 Cm. for Female candidate.
~~ Minimum Chest Expansion should be 5 Cm.
