I am B.A pass (correspondence) from delhi univercity my height is 166 can i join delhi police as a acp ?

The appointment to the ACP posts are done through Indian Civil Services Examination
conducted by UPSC. Also, you can become an ACP through State Civil Services
Examination but through State Civil Services Examination you could get one step behind
from ACP and it may take a long span of time to get promoted to an ACP.
You should appear both State Civil Service Exam and UPSC Civil Services Exam.
If you qualify UPSC CSE then you can directly become an ACP otherwise you can go
through State CSE.

The joining place of such officials are not subject to their choice generally and transfers
are quite normal. So, you can't expect that you will staying at one place in your whole
service life. You should except this fact and stay ready join any place in the country.

As far as academic qualification and height criteria are concerned, you are eligible for the exam.

You should also satisfy the age criteria which is 21-30 years for GEN category candidates,
21-33 years for OBC category candidates, 21-35 years for SC/ST/PD category candidates.

To become an ACP or DCP u need to pass civil service examination conducted by the UPSC or state PSC.
Eligibility Criteria :
Educational Qualification
The candidate must hold any degree in any discipline from any recongnized university.Final year degree students who will obtain degree by August 1, 2013 are also eligible.

AGE limit :
General candidates :21 years - 30 years
OBC Candidates : 21 years - 33 years
Scheduled Caste : 35 years
Scheduled Tribes :35 years
blind, deaf-mute and orthopaedically handicapped persons :40 years

(1) For the Indian Administrative Service and the Indian Police Service, a candidate must be a citizen of India.

I appreciate your dreams for such a reputed post. For being an ACP, you need to appear for the upsc civil services exam, whose eligibility is that you should be a graduate from a recognized Indian university and you should be in the age limit of 21-30 years.

Yes you are eleigible to become ACP.
Apply for UPSC, conducted once a year.

ACP - Assistant Commissioner of Police is under IPS(Indian Police Service) and to become an ACP i.e. IPS officer one has to apply, appear and crack Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC once every year.

The eligible candidate aspiring for IPS, Civil Service Exam, must be an Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream of education from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate with good Physical Fitness.
Apart from this a minimum Physical Requirement is needed to join IPS such as:-

HEIGHT:- General Male/OBC - 165cm and Female-150cm while SC/ST Male-160cm and Female-145cm.

CHEST:- Male-84cm while Female-79cm expandable to 5cm in both the cases.

You are a Graduate from Delhi University through correspondence mode, the qualification required for IPS Civil Service Exam never specified Graduation through regular mode, so you are eligible for the exam.

### ACP is the first post appointed to an IPS or a State PSC candidate after the probation period. There is no delay in in getting to ACP post if u pass through State PSC . only the further promotions are faster for an IPS officers

Try for home guard. You need more good education, physical fitness and written exam with 175 inch of height. Forget about being ACP. You don't need to be married as you seems totally unfit.
