Legal profession is one of the most sort after profession in India. Lawyers are very strong pillar of Indian legal system. When a common man faces injustice in the country, lawyers help him get the justice by fighting his case in the court.

To get admission in LLB college, candidates are first required to appear in the CLAT entrance exam. Depending on your performance in the CLAT exam you would get admission in the LLB college.


CLAT ELIGIBILITY

Interested Candidate should have passed 10+2 with at least 50 percent marks from a recognised board in India.

Those who belong to SC/ST/OBC categories are required to secure 45 percent marks in the 10+2.

It is important that you have completed 10+2 when applying for the CLAT exam. Students who are completing 12th or waiting for the results can't apply since you have to submit proof at the time of admission.

Age Criteria:

For General and Other Backward Class candidates, age limit is 20 years.

SC/ST candidates should not be more than 22 years old.

Now depending on the performance in CLAT you can apply for admission in various universities across India. Just like any other entrance exam, you will have to perform well in CLAT in order to get admission in good Law college. Some of the top colleges in India are:

Once you have completed the LLB course, there is the option to go for government job, work for a company or start your own Law Firm. First thing you need to do is enroll yourself in the local bar council before you can start practicing.

In government services lawyers are appointed via Indian legal service through UPSC. In case of state legal service SPSC exams are conducted for various jobs available at the state level.

you can join LLB after clearing the examination called CLAT.The LLB is a law course degree. This is a profession where one should have a brilliant communication skill and presentation skill.

The eligibility criteria for LLB is as under-

1. One should have a B.A / BSc / B.com degree with a minimum of 40% marks in aggregate and 35% for SC/ST candidates. There is also a 2% Weightage for the post graduate degree holders.

2. For seeking admission in this law course the students have to give an entrance test and a personal interview.

3. The course duration of LLB law course is of three years.

As you are interested for LLB course , The details eligibility criteria for LLB course are as follows....

*The candidates should be a graduate in any stream , from a recognize university.
with 50% mark in aggregate for general category & 45% mark for SC/ST & OBC candidates.

*The eligibility criteria 21 - 30 yrs.

: Bachelor of Law



This an Bachelor degree . The Duration of the course is for three years and the course is divided into six semester . Each semester conduct In between 6 months .

Educational qualification :

You should be qualified for bachelor degree in any discipline from recognized university . You should secure 55% percentage of marks and relaxation is given for 50% percentage of marks for sc/st candidates .

Entrance Examination :

Common Law Admission Test / Law School Admission Test / NALSAR Entrance Test etc.....

CLAT ie : Common Law Admission Test . It is an entry level examination for LLB course .

Eligibility criteria :

You should be qualified in graduation in any stream from recognized university . Final Year candidate are also eligible to apply for this examination.

Yes, ofcurse you are eligible for LLB.

LLA stands for bechlore of Law.

Here is the eligibility:

=> A candidate should have completed their 12th or equivalent study from recognise board.

=> A candidate should have pass their 12th with atleast 50%.

=> Age limit should not exist 30 years.

To get into the premier institutions or law schools in India you need to crack various entrance exams. Legal Education in India is controlled by the Bar Council of India. Some of the entrance exams are conducted on a national basis while others are conducted by some reputed institutions or universities.

List of Law Entrance Exams:

All India Law Entrance Test (AILET)

Common Law Entrance Test (CLAT)

Law School Admission Test (LSAT)

Symbiosis International University Entrance Exam (SET)

All India Law Entrance Test:

AILET or All India Law Entrance Test is conducted by the National Law University, Delhi. The duration of the course is five years. It is a very tough exam to crack because only 80 seats are available out of which 10 are reserved for foreign nationals.

To sit for this examination you need to pass higher secondary examination with not less than 50 percent of marks. Even final year students are also eligible to give this exam. But during the interview session they need to produce proper marksheet with the marks stated above.

For giving this exam your age should not be more than 21 years. This rule is applicable however for the general category only. For the SC/ST candidates the upper age limit is 23.

For the written examination generally multiple choice type questions will come for which you need to give proper attention to the following sections:
  • English
  • General Knowledge
  • Legal Aptitude
  • Logical Reasoning
  • Elementary Mathematics

Exam generally takes place around the first week of May. For this exam you have to answer 150 questions all in all. One mark is alloted per question and the duration of the paper is one and a half hours.

Common Law Admission Test:

You can give the CLAT exam to get into the top National Law Universities in India. It is conducted by each of the NLU in rotation. There are fourteen law schools who participates in this examination.

For the CLAT undergraduate programme you need to pass your class 12 exam with not less than 50 percent of marks. There is percentage relaxation for the reserved categories. It is 45% in case of SC/ST and OBC candidates.

The upper age limit in case of general category is 20 and in case of SC/ST and OBC candidates it is 22 years of age.

Even final year students are also eligible to give this examination. But you have to produce the result at the time of admission otherwise you will be considered ineligible.

Common Law Entrance Test is also a objective type test for which 200 questions are asked. For each question you will be given one mark each. Duration of the paper is 2 hours and luckily there is no negative marking as such.
