Basically, the applicant may join in Indian Army through NDA & CDS entrance examination. The eligibility is differ from NDA and CDS & Entrance examination.

Criteria for Indian Army through NDA Exam:-

-The Applicant should be complete 12th standard or equivalent qualification from recognized university
-The Applicant age should be in between 16.5 years to 19 years.
-The Applicant should be physically as well medically fit.
-The Applicant should be Unmarried male candidate.

Criteria for Indian Army through CDS Exam:-

-The Applicant age should b e complete graduation or equivalent qualification from reorganized university.
-The Applicant age should be in between 19 years to 24 years
-The Applicant should be Physically as well as medically fit.
-The Applicant should be unmarried male candidate.

You can join the Technical Entry scheme and university entry scheme. You can also join Indian Military Academy or Officers Training Academy after completion of graduation. There are medical and physical standards to be met for joining the Indian Army. Candidate must have scored a minimum of 50% marks in the higher secondary examination and atleast, have 40% in Biology, Physics, Chemistry, English. During the time of admission, he should be 17 1/2 years and must not be over 23 years of age. There will be a compulsory paper of Mathematics in the NDA Exam, conducted by Union Public Service Commission.
