I passed my Diploma in Tailoring from Vinayaka Mission University in the year 2001. However, I did not got my certificate till now. Is there any way to check the certificate online by visiting the university web site?

There is no option available online on the website to get the previous years mark sheet. You can only check this years mark scored by the candidates.

You can write an application to get the mark sheet of "Diploma in Tailoring" certificate for 2011.
